#4 Dishwasher
When you are ready to make another large investment you can star shopping for a dishwasher. Although many homes manage without them they are very convenient, especially for large families and working parents. A dishwasher is not a necessity but does complete a kitchen. Dishwashers can consume more water than you would use if you wash the dishes by hand. They also require a special type of liquid soap that might cost more than ordinary dish soap. I guess manufacturers figure, if you can afford a dishwasher then you can afford to pay more for the soap. Dishwashers go through a few cycles before the completely finish and they do a good job cleaning. I don't own a dishwasher but I use it at my mom's house and the thing that I don't understand is, what's a dishwasher good for if you first have to scrub each dish before putting it in? I figure, you already did half the job. Anyway, it still is nice to have because it makes your kitchen look modern and can help out if you aren't in the mood do dishes. I don't discourage dishwashers, in fact if I had the money I would get one myself. I have a small family and only use a few dishes everyday so I would rather get other useful kitchen appliances.
